Hello there! I am Joshua, a graduate from the University of Bath, United Kingdom with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
I love teaching. I have always been pationate about teaching the sciences (biology chemistry, physics) and mathematics. With a strong track record of tutoring students: a language mentor at university, ex-youth mentor in a uniform body and A-Levels tutoring experience, I strive to encourage my students in a postive academic spirit in and out of classes through committed and focused learning.
Well hang-on!! By what authority do I have to teach you?!
I suppose that...
A second-upper class degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath
4A*s in A-Levels (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics)
5A*s in GCSEs (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics)
Isn't too horrible to start with...
Every person genuinely has the potential to excel. Many lament they are 'just not cut out to do well in GCSE Math or a specific subject'. Yes, I believe some have a natural gift for certain subjects. But at the end of the day, in my father's own encouraging words, "genius is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration". Using the right learning techniques and patterns of thinking, in dissecting problems is fundamental and that is what I seek to impart.

My aim is to spur the student in the direction of exam-readiness from Day 1. Past year questions and concept focus form the two foundational pillars from the very start. Expect committed practice each week in and out of class and unpacking of the most complex concepts into understable bites.
I tutor across my strongest suit of subjects:
Physics
Mathematics
Chemistry
*No biology as I admit that my engineering focus has sadly made me neglect that!
